We are a South Carolina-based firm specializing in Building Envelope (Exterior Walls, Roofing and Waterproofing) consulting services with offices in Charleston and Columbia.

Independent, third-party building envelope system evaluations and services include: Condition Assessment: Perform a thorough inspection and evaluation of the current envelope system to determine the type of roof and wall assembly and any current defects. The report includes photos, drawings, and recommendations. Infrared Thermal Survey: A scan with an infrared camera to help locate any locations that may contain moisture or energy loss. Testing: Samples of the current envelope makeup will be taken to learn about the composition, to determine if moisture is present if it contains asbestos, and the adhesion performance of the plies and insulation. Design Development: Once the determination is made that replacement or major repairs are the only options, we can formulate a place and provide detailed drawings and specifications. Contract Administration: During the construction process, we can help the owner select the proper contractor and handle the bidding process. After the award, we will perform the required quality assurance during the construction phase to ensure that the owner receives the proper quality envelope assembly. This can be with our own design/specs or with the owner’s architect. Construction Documents Review: If you are an architect or engineer and need help with roofing and/or exterior wall project, we can review your existing drawings and specifications to help you tailor the right system to meet your needs. Inspections: For an existing project, we can perform daily inspections with reports of the construction process. We also inspect completed systems to determine if the project meets the specifications and drawings. Maintenance Plans: All facets of the building envelope, regardless of the type or age, need periodic maintenance for proper performance and to meet the warranty requirements. Legal: In the event litigation is necessary, depositions and court testimony can be given.
